Natalie, actually Dorothy is one of the last batch from 2006, I was going to post the quote and remembered i'd drawn a picture of the lady. I met with Mr Bent of Bent Books last week. Somehow we had a few beers and forgot to get around to talking about the next set of bookmarks, but we will definitely get around to it. Eddie
Don't know exactly where to post this general regard to your work. I picked up Three Piece Suit, just by chance in a special library for comics here in Stockholm and I'm really happy I did so. The Alec comics gave me much humor and was something I could relate to during a rough period.
I read all your Alec books and ordered some of them on Amazon.com. Three piece suit was the one that really hit home for me but maybe that's just because it was the first one i got my hands on. How to be an artist was really well concieved but I couldn't take it all in. I think I'll try to read it again in a couple o' years.
Haven't read anything else of your stuff but I probably will some time. Your work is quite unique, that's for sure.
Thanks, Erik. Hemlockman, anon, re the bookmarks, try dropping a query at the site. I know Sean was happy to send some out the first time around, but it's a big bundle now. Also, while he does reprints they tend not to be all in print at any given time.
It feels good to see them all lined up like that though.
Hi Eddie
ReplyDeleteHappy Chinese New Year of the Rat!
Tried emailing you but it bounced back. Can drop me a line? godot17@gmail.com Cheers!
Weee! I was wondering if you were doing any this year. Not that I am in any position to lay my hands on these, but...

Very nice!
ReplyDeleteHow can I get a set of the bookmarks without traveling all the way to Oz?

Damn. I just remembered Kurt Vonnegut is dead. The bookmarks are beautiful though and I second Hemlockman's query.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Erik.
