This may be my last post until i figure out why logging into blogger closes down Safari on my computer. I can get in here long enough to type a short message but not long enough to access my drafts folder, putting the pictures I uploaded a half hour ago beyond my reach. Suggestions anybody?

  1. No idea why that would make Safari shut down, but you could maybe use Firefox or Opera in the meanwhile? This subscriber, for one, enjoys your posts.

  2. Safari's bullshit. I concur with the above. I'm pro-Firefox.

  3. Safari keeps crashing on me too so I've migrated to Firefox, even though it's slightly slower to load.

  4. If you can stay online long enough you can see Alan Moore put the knife into Watchmen here.

Apologies if you've seen it before.

  5. I switched to Firefox 3 for my Blogger posting - it just seems to work more smoothly than Safari, although I have no idea why that is. Safari was keeping me from being able to successfully format my posts, especially when I was trying to embed pictures, which is what prompted the switch. Much happier since I did that.

  6. I had that crashing problem when accessing my main blog because it uses Java applications (such as music or slide shows) and updates sometimes would create that type of problem.

  7. Ben,
a while back you mentioned The Playwright. Thanks for the good words. The is a plan afoot to get it out next year in full colour as a landscape format book, 160 pages.
    more on that later

  9. If you want to stick with Safari, I would suggest either backing up your Safari settings and re-installing from the system disk which came with your computer.

if you are feeling a bit of a seat-of-the-pants risk taker you could just download and install the latest Java kit from the Apple web site.

    Good luck!

  11. Whatever the Goddess Princess said...

Actually, as Elliott said earlier, I couldn't format my blog posts in any content management system via Safari either.

Think it's time you and Daren come clean about your plans for The Playwright too...

    Later my friend,
