So, what you're showing us is that Mr Gaiman has been nice for, like, ever. How discouraging for those of us who were hoping to grow into nice people as we aged. We're doomed to be mean grumps forever, it seems . . .
I've always loved this bit. Although it makes me wonder what would happen in present-day airport security noticed the stick.
