To celebrate The Surrogates movie wrapping principal photography, surviving San Diego, and all the cool new summer and fall releases, for the next ten days -- thru Friday September 12th -- Top Shelf is having a giant $3 graphic novel web sale.
When you browse the site, you'll find over 125 graphic novels and comics on sale -- with 90 titles marked down to just $3 (!) and a slew of other key titles just slashed! Being a woman I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE a sale! I'm going on line and spend away - in for a penny - in for a pound , as they say. Still how can a high fashion l.A. woman who loves to read resist? Thanks for the heads up! Namaste- Yoga Gal
Hi, Eddie:
I don’t know how, but you have managed to bring me back to comics reading.
I’ve been reading your Alec’s story, and right now I’m getting dressed (people can’t stand my nude beauty, they start laughing and shouting) and after saying hello to my gorgeous waitress, and staring at her while she looks at others, I’ll go to my comic-book shop to ask for my copy of THE AMAZING REMARKABLE MONSIEUR LEOTARD!
Well, hope you are doing fine.
Besos a Ana.
Cuídate, amigo

Edward: You tease! Two of the books I'm most interested in "Alex (Life -size omnis) and Bacchus (Two - Volume Omnibus) aren't even out yet! Rats! By the way, not being a smart ass, but why did you use the name Bacchus, since the Greek God's name is Dionysus, Bacchus is the Roman name for the God of Wine but the Greeks thought him up first?Just a question.I was thrilled for I was able to order all the Bacchus series through Top Shelf! Namaste- geri (yoga gal)
Nino!
great to hear from you!
geri,
Bacchus was one of his Greek names too, as in The Bacchae of the greek dramatist Euripides. originally Bakkhos, but that's transcribing it from greek letterforms.
Never knew that! Learn something new everyday! Thanks for taking the time to answer the question. I only remember the Feast of Dionysus, sounds like a party I would enjoy! Can't wait to read your Bacchus stories! I ordered them ALL! Namaste! Geri a.k.a. Yoga Gal
I ordered all the Campbell sale books, Dakin's 'Abe: Wrong for the Right Reasons', and Brown's 'I Am Going To Be Small'.
Thanks for mentioning the sale - first place I heard about it!
I'd love to buy some books from Top Shelf, but once i fill my shopping-cart, i just can't afford the international shipping.
