From Snakes and Ladders? (I have it in A Disease of Language). I enjoy the preliminary drawings very much (which is among the main reasons why I bought that book)!
Thanks, Tita. yes, it's from Disease of Language. This preliminary drawing seems to be slightly better proportioned than the finished one.
That's lovely, but for some reason the snake looks incredibly shocked. Perhaps she stepped on his rattlers.
beautiful... the lines and the curves are exquisitely done...
Gorgeous drawing! Funny how preliminary sketches hold so much vitality, sometimes more than the finished works. I never understood why this was the case.
